Although her death record shows her as the widow of Enos Twitchell, she had evidently been married to Moses Ball for four years at the time of Ball's death in 1820. The only other Relief Twitchell found in the Athol vital records was her own daughter, who had already married Ebenezer Doane before the Ball-Twitchell marriage in 1816. It seems that the elder Relief reverted to her first husband's surname and was considered his widow again by the time of her own death.⁸⁹
