     Your authors note that the birth years for David and Mary Bent's children, unless cited to an authoritative source, are not reliable. She and David Bent appeared on the census of 1768 at Annapolis, Annapolis Co, NS; with four males and two females, all American born, in the household.⁶ Mary Felch and David Bent appeared on the census of 1770 at Annapolis, Annapolis Co, NS; with 8 in the household, two American and six Acadian born.⁷

     Abigail Bruce was born on 3 May 1754 at Southborough, MA.^3,4 She was the daughter of Josiah Bruce and Bridget Pierce.² Abigail Bruce married William Bent, son of Micah Bent and Grace Rice.⁵ Abigail Bruce died in 1845.⁶

     It is very likely that this is the Daniel Felch family enumerated in the 1768 census with three in his household, two male and one female, and in the 1770 census, five in his household all "American" born, at Annapolis, Nova Scotia, and Daniel Felch on the 1765 request for confirmation for township status and 1792 tax rolls for Annapolis. Daniel and Ann would be siblings of David Bent and Mary Felch who are also in this data set and are documented at Annapolis, Nova Scotia after 1763. Regrettably, the Felch family records for the late 18th century at Annapolis are very incomplete.

     Susannah Hill was born circa June 1751, as calculated from her death record. She was the daughter of Isaac Hill and Lydia (?). Susannah Hill was baptized on 15 July 1753 at 1st Congregational Church, Holliston, MA.² She married James Whitney, son of Deacon Benjamin Whitney and Esther Leland, on 20 April 1780 at Sherborn, MA; listed as Susannah of Holliston.^3,1 Susannah Hill died on 25 September 1841; aged 90y 3m, under the name Whitney.^3,4 She was buried at West Sherborn Cemetery, Sherborn, MA.³
     The Rice Gen'l Register asserts that Susannah was the widow of James Hill. However, there is no trace of any such James Hill in the vital records of either Holliston or Sherborn, while the records do show a Susannah Hill baptized at Holliston about the right time. We therefore take her maiden name to be Hill after all, until and unless some evidence appears to substantiate the tale of a previous marriage.⁴

     Joseph Whitney was born on 15 December 1762 at Sherborn, MA.^3,1 He was the son of Deacon Benjamin Whitney and Esther Leland.² Joseph Whitney married Sarah Parks, daughter of Gideon Parks and Hannah Fuller, on 3 October 1792 at Framingham, MA; listed as Joseph of Sherborne.^4,3,1 Joseph Whitney died on 5 April 1846 at Gardner, MA; aged 83y 3m 20d, from palsy.⁵
