Marriage banns for John Hobbs and Beulah Warren were published on 7 April 1744 at Weston, MA; listed as John of Brookfield.³ John Hobbs died in November 1777 at Brookfield, MA; (not found in the published records).²
     He fought in the Revolution and served at the battle of Saratoga. Afterwards, he took pneumonia and went home to die.² He was a twin of Josiah. They were born on Governor's Island in the harbor, where their parents were living temporarily.² He immigrated circa 1744 to Brookfield, MA.² He was dismissed to the Brookfield church on 15 April 1753 at Weston, MA.³

Nathan Fiske, minister at Brookfield, who preached a sermon eulogizing Josiah (not found in the published records).²
