     Col. Joseph Blanchard was born on 11 February 1704/5 at Dunstable, MA, (literally 1704).^1,2 He was the son of Capt. Joseph Blanchard and Abiah Haskell. Col. Joseph Blanchard married Rebecca Hubbard, daughter of Lt Jonathan Hubbard and Rebecca Brown, on 26 September 1728 at Groton, MA; listed as Joseph of Dunstable.³ Col. Joseph Blanchard died on 7 April 1758 at Dunstable (Nashua), NH; aged 53y.^1,2,4 He was buried at Little Cemetery, South Nashua, NH.¹
     Col. Joseph Blanchard was the first treasurer of the Proprietors of New Ipswich.⁵ He headed a regiment of 500 men in 1756, including the Ranger companies of Rogers and Stark, on the Crown Point expedition.⁶ He represented Dunstable in the Massachusetts General Court 1734-41.⁷ He was appointed to the governor's council in 1741, when the new province line shifted his home to New Hampshire.⁶ He left a will on 6 April 1758 at Dunstable (Nashua), NH,, mentioning son Joseph, daughter Rebecca wife of James Minot, children under 21 Katherine, Jonathan, Sarah, James, Jotham, Augustus, and Hannah, wife Rebecca to be executrix, manservant Caesar, Thomas Parker's daughter Elizabeth, and witnesses Zaccheus Lovewell, Matthew Thorton, and Elias Smith.^7,8

     Joseph Blanchard married Lucy Lovewell, daughter of Col. Zaccheus Lovewell and Esther (?); (not found in the published records).¹ Joseph Blanchard was born on 28 April 1729 at Dunstable, MA.^2,3 He was the son of Col. Joseph Blanchard and Rebecca Hubbard. Joseph Blanchard died circa 1815 at Thornton, NH; (1809 per Hartman).^4,1
     Joseph Blanchard served as a major in the Continental Line during the Revolutionary War. He was captured and held prisoner of war in New York.⁴ He was representative of Merrimack to the Provincial Assembly, 1762-5.⁴ There is no probate file for Joseph in Grafton County, NH.⁴ When his mother died, he bought out the rights of his siblings to her land in Hillsborough County. However, the price was apparently not fixed as part of the deal, and he objected to the valuation made in 1778. His brother Jonathan eventually bought the land at that price.⁵ He resided at Merrimack, NH.⁶ He was a surveyor. He and Samuel Langdon produced a map of New Hampshire in 1761. George Peabody asserted that the map was made by Joseph's father, the Colonel, instead. However, this Joseph made depositions in 1806 and 1811, recorded in the Grafton County deeds, concerning his land surveys of 1760-61.^7,8 He resided at Amherst, NH.⁶ He appeared on the census of 1790 at Amherst, NH; (household of 102--).⁹ He appeared on the census of 1800 at Thornton, NH; (household of 00201-01001).¹⁰

     Eleazer Blanchard was buried at Little Cemetery, South Nashua, NH.¹ He was born on 15 November 1730 at Dunstable, MA.^1,2 He was the son of Col. Joseph Blanchard and Rebecca Hubbard. Eleazer Blanchard married Lucy Butterfield, daughter of Capt. John Butterfield and Anna Hildreth, circa 1750.³ Eleazer Blanchard died on 10 March 1753 at Dunstable (Nashua), NH; (19th per Secomb and Fox, May per Hartman) aged 21y, from fever.^1,4,3
     Also, on Dec 10, 1774, his siblings sold 100 acres in Dublin, NH, that had been granted to Eleazer.⁵ There is no mention of a widow or daughter of Eleazer in his father's will written in 1758.³ Endicott states that Eleazer died just before a planned marriage.⁶

     Rebecca Blanchard was born on 20 July 1732 at Dunstable, MA.^1,2 She was the daughter of Col. Joseph Blanchard and Rebecca Hubbard. Rebecca Blanchard married James Minot on 10 September 1752 at Hudson, NH.³ Rebecca Blanchard died on 9 February 1767; under the name Minot, from fever.^4,5

     Sarah Blanchard was born on 7 October 1734 at Dunstable, MA.^1,2 She was the daughter of Col. Joseph Blanchard and Rebecca Hubbard. Sarah Blanchard died on 30 November 1736 at Dunstable, MA; (transcribed as 1726, evidently in error).^1,2

     Katherine Blanchard was born on 11 November 1736 at Dunstable, MA.^1,2 She was the daughter of Col. Joseph Blanchard and Rebecca Hubbard. Katherine Blanchard married Rev. Elias Smith, son of Benjamin Smith and Elizabeth Burnap, on 3 December 1759.^3,4 Katherine Blanchard married Rev. Jonathan Blanchard married Rebecca Farwell, daughter of Oliver Farwell and Abigail Hubbard, circa 1765 at Dunstable (Nashua), NH; (not found in the published records).³ Jonathan Blanchard died on 16 July 1788 at Dunstable (Nashua), NH; (18th per Secomb, following Fox) aged 51y.^1,2,4 He estate was probated on 28 April 1789 at Hillsborough County, NH.⁵
     Jonathan Blanchard served in the New Hampshire provincial congress in 1775 and many other offices.⁶ He was a representative in Congress, 1783-7.³ He served as the proprietors' clerk for Dunstable. He was also a probate judge and brigadier general in the militia.⁴ He left a will on 8 June 1788 at Dunstable (Nashua), NH,, mentioning wife Rebecca, son Charles, and daughters.⁵

     James Blanchard was in the army at the time he and his siblings released their interests in some land in their parents' estates in 1778.⁴ He was a quartermaster in the 3rd Continental Battalion, raised in New Hampshire in 1776.⁵ He immigrated circa 1782 to New York, NY.^5,3 He appeared on the census of 1790 at North Ward, New York, NY; (household of 222--).⁶

     Jotham Blanchard signed the Association Test in Peterborough in 1776.² Upon arrival at Truro, he bought a house lot in the Upper Village. He built a two-story house on it and lived there for the rest of his life.⁴ He obtained a grant of 23000 acres in Sydney Co, Nova Scotia in 1796.² He was active in Peterborough affairs.² He immigrated circa 1760 to Portsmouth, NH.² He immigrated in 1773 to Peterborough, NH.² He immigrated in 1785 to Truro, NS.²

     Augustus Blanchard was buried at Milford, NH.¹ He was born on 29 July 1746 at Dunstable (Nashua), NH.^2,3 He was the son of Col. Joseph Blanchard and Rebecca Hubbard.      Augustus Blanchard was one of the original proprietors of Acworth, NH.⁶ He was one of the petitioners in 1793 for forming the town of Milford. He served as selectman and clerk in the new town until his death.⁴ He was a captain in the militia at Merrimack and took the company to Boston in 1775.⁷ He was a farmer.
