John Rice married Elizabeth Clapp, daughter of Ezra Clapp and Abigail Pond, on 13 March 1700 at Sudbury, MA; (May per Ward) listed as Elizabeth of Milton.5,2,6 John Rice married Sarah Frost, daughter of Thomas Frost and Mary Goodridge, circa 1706 at Sudbury, MA; (not found in the published records).7 John Rice died on 28 July 1733 at Sudbury, MA.7,8
Note that Ward mistakenly attributes the 1731 marriage of Sarah Dunton both to this John Rice and to another (WFN 123). Since the Sudbury vital records show a child was born to John and Sarah Rice in 1736, after the death of this John, it seems clear that the other attribution is the correct one.9,10,11 He and Elizabeth Clapp resided at Sudbury, MA.7 John Rice represented the Town of Sudbury in the Massachusetts General Court (legislative assembly) at Boston, MA in 1715.7
