     Sarah Martin was born circa 1727, it is likely that Sarah was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Martin and was born at Marlborough on 12 Mar 1724.1 She married John Rice, son of Deacon Edward Rice and Rachel Elgit, on 2 March 1742/43 at Marlborough, MA.2,3,4 Sarah Martin died on 14 February 1815.5

     Aaron Rice was born on 31 January 1724/25 at Worcester, MA.3,4 He was the son of Capt. Moses Rice and Sarah King. Aaron Rice married Freedom French, daughter of Thomas French and Joanna (?), on 5 November 1754 at Deerfield, MA; listed as Aaron of Charlemont.1,2,5,6 Aaron Rice died on 2 October 1808 at Deerfield, MA.7,5 He was buried at Station Cemetery, Charlemont, MA.5
     Aaron Rice and Freedom French were admitted to the church in September 1756 at Deerfield, MA.7 Aaron Rice was in the military in 1758 as a corporal in Burke's Company.7 He and Freedom French resided at Charlemont, MA.7 Aaron Rice was a deacon of the church at Charlemont, MA.7 He was a member of the State Convention to frame a Constitution for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at Charlemont, MA.7 From the following inscription upon the gravestone of the parents at Charlemont, MA, of which the following is a copy, it appears they had one more child than we have an account of.
"Sacred to the memory of Deacon Aaron Rice and Freedom, his wife; who having sustained the hardships of an infant frontier settlement in time of war; having reared a family of eleven children, six of whom lie interred in this ground; and lived together in happy wedlock fifty-four years, departed this life, the first Dec. 2, 1808, aged 84 years; the other, Sept. 15, 1809, aged 79 years."7

Dinah Rice married 1st Joseph Stevens, son of Deacon Joseph Stevens and Prudence Rice, on 20 January 1747 at Rutland, MA, the Rutland vital records also records a marriage intention dated 9 May 1747 and questions that the year of marriage may have been 1748.1,2,4 Dinah Rice married Paul Rice on 16 May 1764 at Deerfield, MA; under the name Stearns, both of Charlemont.5,6 Dinah Rice died on 6 September 1818 at Charlemont, MA; under the name Rice.5,7

     Capt Sylvanus Rice was born on 6 January 1728/29 at Worcester, MA.2,3 He was the son of Capt. Moses Rice and Sarah King. Capt Sylvanus Rice married Esther Nims, daughter of John Nims and Abigail Smead, on 5 June 1760 at Deerfield, MA.1,4,5 Capt Sylvanus Rice died on 6 April 1819 at Charlemont, MA; (March per Ward).6,4 He was buried at Station Cemetery, Charlemont, MA.4

     Freedom French was born on 22 April 1730 at Deerfield, MA.3,4 She was the daughter of Thomas French and Joanna (?).3 Freedom French married Aaron Rice, son of Capt. Moses Rice and Sarah King, on 5 November 1754 at Deerfield, MA; listed as Aaron of Charlemont.1,2,5,4 Freedom French died on 15 September 1809; aged 79y, under the name Rice.3,5 She was buried at Station Cemetery, Charlemont, MA.5
     Freedom French and Aaron Rice were admitted to the church in September 1756 at Deerfield, MA.3 Freedom French and Aaron Rice resided at Charlemont, MA.3 From the following inscription upon the gravestone of the parents at Charlemont, MA, of which the following is a copy, it appears they had one more child than we have an account of.
