     Abigail Oakes was born on 3 September 1762 at Templeton, MA, (Rice Gen'l Register indicates date of birth as 1765).^1,2 She was the daughter of William Oakes and Relief Whitcomb.¹ Abigail Oakes married Nathaniel Wilson, son of Benjamin Wilson and Sarah Sawyer, on 11 March 1783 at Winchendon, MA; listed as Nathaniel of Fitzwilliam.^1,3 Abigail Oakes died on 9 March 1847 at Winchendon, MA; aged 83y 6m, under the name Wilson.⁴
     Abigail Oakes and Nathaniel Wilson had no children.¹

     DAR Patriot Index, vol. 1, p. 502, lists a Seth Oakes, b. 8 April 1733; d. 24 April 1810; m. Elizabeth Shevally; QM Sgt; MA. The published vital records say that he was christened, not born, on 8 April 1733.³

     Thankful Oakes was born on 12 October 1760 at Narragansett #6 (Templeton), MA, under the name Oak.^1,2 She was the daughter of William Oakes and Relief Whitcomb.¹ Thankful Oakes died on 22 May 1764 at Templeton, MA.^1,3

     Interestingly enough, there was an Asa Osgood who was born at Princeton, Mass., on exactly the same day Lois Allen was born at what later became Barre. However, that Asa Osgood died in Princeton at age 20. It is not yet clear whether the Asahel who died in 1812 was indeed the husband of Lois Allen.

     David Osgood was born on 8 October 1698 at Andover, MA.¹ He was the son of Hooker Osgood and Dorothy Woodman. David Osgood married Eunice Carter on 3 November 1724 at Lancaster, MA.² David Osgood died on 20 February 1771 at Lancaster, MA; aged 72y.³ He was buried at Chocksett Cemetery, Sterling, MA.³

     Ezra Osgood was born on 23 May 1752 at Lancaster, MA.² He is the son of Joseph Osgood and Elizabeth Carter. Ezra Osgood was baptized on 7 June 1752 at 1st Church, Lancaster, MA.³ Marriage banns for Ezra Osgood and Susannah White were published on 27 January 1785 at Lancaster, MA.⁴ Ezra Osgood married Susannah White, daughter of Deacon Joseph White and Patience Ball, on 2 March 1785 at Lancaster, MA; both of Lancaster.^1,5

John Osgood died on 21 October 1852 at Nelson, NH; aged 83y.^4,6 He was buried at Old Common Cemetery, Nelson, NH.⁶
