Jonathan Rice was born on 14 May 1757 at Framingham, MA, (March per Ward).4,3 He was the son of Jonathan Rice and Ruth Eames.3 Jonathan Rice married Anna Belknap, daughter of Abraham Belknap and Ursula Messenger, on 4 April 1782 at Framingham, MA.1,2,5 Jonathan Rice died on 25 February 1838 at Natick, MA; aged 80y, from old age.6,4,7,8 He was buried at Church Hill Cemetery, Framingham, MA.4

The gravestone of his wife reads, `Sarah, Relict of Abiah Rice died March 6, 1864 age 97 yr, 5 mo, 14 days.2'" He resided after 1780 at Bennington, VT.1
