Martha Bigelow was born on 21 October 1724 at Marlborough, MA.4,5 She is the daughter of Samuel Bigelow and Mary Gleason. Martha Bigelow married Ezekiel Brigham, son of Thomas Brigham and Sarah Stratton, on 14 December 1749 at Shrewsbury, MA; listed as Ezekiel of Marlborough.6,1,2,3 Martha Bigelow died on 1 August 1764 at Grafton, MA; aged 39y, under the name Brigham.7 She was buried at Old Cemetery, Grafton, MA.7
Martha Bigelow was listed in the Marlborough birth records as Mary Biglo, but her father already had a daughter Mary by his first wife (q.v.). It seems likely, therefore, that the birth record was a clerical error.
