     William Goddard was born in 1703, but his birth is not recorded in Watertown or Marlborough. His parentage is thus conjectural.2 He is the son of Josiah Goddard and Rachel Davis. William Goddard married Keziah Cloyes; both of Marlboro, Mass.3 William Goddard died on 19 February 1772; aged 67y, according to his gravestone in Northborough, which describes him as William of Marlborough.4,2
