Capt. Thaddeus Bond was born circa 1741, (according to his age at death). He was the son of Thaddeus Bond and Prudence Warren. Capt. Thaddeus Bond married Rebecca Gleason on 11 April 1782 at East Sudbury (Wayland), MA; both of East Sudbury.3,1 Marriage banns for Capt. Thaddeus Bond and Relief Griffin were published on 31 May 1788 at East Sudbury (Wayland), MA; listed as Thaddeus of Westminster.3,2 Marriage banns for Capt. Thaddeus Bond and Relief Griffin were published on 17 June 1788 at Westminster, MA; listed as widow Relief Damon of East Sudbury.4 Capt. Thaddeus Bond married Relief Griffin, daughter of Samuel Griffin and Rachel Clark.5 Capt. Thaddeus Bond died on 27 October 1821 at Westminster, MA; aged 80y.4
There is an inconsistency between the recorded age at death and both the marriage date of his supposed parents and the apparent age deduced from his two known marriages. The only known Thaddeus Bond in the right era was born in 1751 to Benjamin and Abigail of Weston, but further research is needed into that possibility. Meanwhile, we are keeping the parents supposed by Ward.5 He resided circa 1790 at Westminster, MA.5
