Your authors note that the Rice Fort was documented to exist by Major George Washington who led the Virginia militia into Pennsylvania during the French and Indian War. Y-DNA analysis has shown that there were many different Rice families in colonial America. Therefore, it is very unlikely that Daniel and Abraham Rice were Edmund Rice descendants.6
