He married Esther FAY 6 Oct 1785 at Westborough, MA, listed as John of Marlborough and Esther of Southborough. Ward states that the marriage took place in Marlborough, but the marriage is actually found in the vital records of Westborough57,1 {p142},45 {p31}. She was born 14 Sep 1767 at Southborough, MA55, died 12 Aug 1835, aged 68y at Oakham, MA (under the name Bullard)215, daughter of Deacon Hezekiah FAY and Esther GIBBS. She died 24 Apr 1763 at Brimfield (under the name Bishop), according to a family Bible103. She was buried at Shrewsbury, MA, in Mountain View Cemetery56.

She married Richard BISHOP 20 Jan 1757 at Brimfield, MA103,14 {p8}. He was born about 1733, according to his death record, died 30 Apr 1806, aged 73y at Brimfield103, was buried at Brimfield, in Brimfield Center Cemetery103.
