She married William MAYNARD 24 Oct 1765 at Marlborough3,19 {p386}. He was born 18 May 1742 at Marlborough3,19 {p414}, son of Daniel MAYNARD and Mary OAKES.
vi
(son) HOW [QQ118588], born 26 Jan 1740 at Marlborough3 {p109},2 {p106}. He died 28 Jan 1740, aged 2d at Marlborough3 {p369},2 {p106}.
vii
Joseph HOW 3rd [QQ118579], born 23 Dec 1740 at Marlborough3 {p101},2 {p106}. He must not be confused with the older Joseph How (1728-1800) who was indeed the third in a line of Josephs but who was never actually known as Joseph 3rd.

He married Persis RICE 25 Feb 1762 at Marlborough3,1 {p65}. She was born 27 Jan 1744/45 at Marlborough1 {p65},3 {p159}, died before 1785, as her father's will refers to her as Persis Howe, deceased1 {p65}, daughter of Ensign Abraham RICE and Persis ROBINSON.
viii
Nanne HOW [QQ118654], born 15 Jul 1743 at Marlborough3,2 {p106}. She died 10 Sep 1745 at Marlborough3,2 {p106}.
ix
Catherine HOW [QQ118655], born 14 May 1746 at Marlborough3,2 {p106}.

She married Luke HOW 29 Nov 1770 at Marlborough3,2 {106, 107}. He was born 21 Feb 1744/45 at Marlborough3,2 {p107}, son of Solomon HOWE and Mary HOW.
x
Lucretia HOW [QQ118656], born 7 Apr 1749 at Marlborough3,2 {106, 186}. She died 11 Jun 177819 {p361}. Although the published vital records for Marlborough list Levi and Lucretia Fay as having twin children in 1781, Lucretia was already dead at that point. The published vital records also record the marriage of Levi Fay and Elizabeth Hudson in 1779.3

She married Levi FAY 3 Jun 1773 at Marlborough3,2 {106, 186}. He was born 6 Oct 1747 at Southborough, MA55, died 10 Oct 180519 {p361}, son of Deacon John FAY and Thankful TAYLOR.
xi
Benjamin HOW Jr [QQ118657], born 17 Oct 1751 at Marlborough, MA3,2 {p106},265 {1:107}. He died 11 Mar 1831, aged 79y 4m 22d at Northborough, MA59,265 {1:107}. He was in the military serving in the American Revolutionary War265 {1:107}.

He married Abigail HOWE. She was born 14 May 1764 at Marlborough, MA (under the name How)3,2 {p113},265 {1:107, 2:301}, died 6 Apr 1830, aged 63y 10m 23d (sic) at Northborough, MA59,265 {1:107}, daughter of Asa HOWE and Rachel GODDARD. Note that the marriage of this Abigail Howe to Joseph Gleason as listed in the Rice Genealogical Register is clearly in error. The death records of Benjamin and Abigail Howe in Northborough identify them as this couple.
xii
Eunice HOW [QQ118576], born 1 Jul 1754 at Marlborough, MA3 {p99},2 {p106}.

She married Phineas NEWTON Sep 1730 at Marlborough2 {p106},45 {p8},3 {p270}. He was born 5 Oct 17072 {p106}, was baptized 16 Nov 1707 at Marlborough, registered as a child of John Jr with no name3, son of John NEWTON and Hannah MORSE. Phineas NEWTON and Patience HOW resided at Leicester, MA2 {p106}.

Silas NEWTON [QQ119460], born 26 Sep 1745 at Leicester2 {p106},113 {p67}. Although this Silas Newton was born in Leicester, and part of Leicester was set off as part of the new town of Paxton in 1765, it seems clear that this was not the Silas of Paxton who married Delia How. The father of this Silas moved the family to the Connecticut River valley, settled in the part of Springfield that became Wilbraham, and made his will there in 1778. This Silas was mentioned in the will, but his ultimate career is not known.175 {69, 71}

Paul HOW and Elizabeth HOWE resided at Rutland, MA2 {p106}.

Children of Paul HOW and Elizabeth HOWE:

She married Deacon Abel BROWN 4 Dec 1760 at Rutland, MA, listed as Amity How98,2 {106, 186}. He was born 18 Sep 1739 at Rutland (under the name Browne)98,2 {p186}, died 23 Jun 1824, aged 84y at Paxton, MA178,2 {p186}, son of Capt. Samuel BROWN and Sarah BRIGHAM.
iii
Martha HOW [QQ119468], born 14 May 1742, (February per Rice Gen'l Register) at Rutland, MA98,2 {106, 186}.

She married Ephraim DAVIS Jr 7 Oct 1762 at Rutland98,2 {106, 186}. He was born 11 Mar 1740/41 at Bedford, MA148, son of Deacon Ephraim DAVIS and Rebecca DANFORTH.
iv
Elizabeth HOW [QQ119470], born 19 Jun 1744, (10th per Rice Gen'l Register) at Rutland, MA98,2 {106, 186}. She died 9 Oct 1829 (under the name Stone), according to unofficial records98,2 {p186}.

She married Jeduthan STONE 11 Jan 1773, (June per Rice Gen'l Register) at Rutland, listed as Elizabeth of Paxton98,2 {106, 186}. He was born 13 Feb 1748/49 at Rutland98,71 {p304}, died 8 Mar 1829 at Rutland, according to unofficial records and to Bartlett. The Rice Genealogical Register reports the year as 182598,71 {p304},2 {p187}, son of Nathan STONE and Mary ROBBINS. He was in the military serving in the Revolutionary War, first as a private in Capt. Thomas Eustis' company of Rutland minutemen, then in Capt. Adam Wheeler's company, and finally in Capt. David Bent's company. He marched to Cambridge on the Lexington alarm in 1775 and to Bennington, VT, in 177771 {p304},159 {15:99}. He made a will 23 Jan 1819 at Rutland, mentioning wife Elizabeth, sons Willard and Augustus, daughters Patty Stone, Elizabeth Bassett, Lucy Foster, and Sally Estabrook, and son Calvin to be executor71 {p304}. Administration on his estate was granted 7 Jul 1829, to Jeduthan's son Willard, since the nominated executor Calvin was dead71 {p305},20 {docket 56659}.
v
Deacon Jonah HOW [QQ119472], born 2 Jul 1746 at Rutland98,2 {106, 187}. He died 11 Nov 1832, (10th per gravestone), aged 86y at Paxton, MA (under the name Howe)178,250,2 {p187}. He was buried at Paxton, in Paxton Cemetery250.

He married Sarah NEWTON. She was born 25 Nov 1751 at Rutland, MA98,2 {p187}, died 21 Aug 1839, aged 88y (under the name Howe)250,2 {p187}, was buried at Paxton, MA, in Paxton Cemetery250, daughter of Lt. Jonas NEWTON and Rebecca.
vi
Delia HOW [QQ119474], born 24 Sep 1748 at Rutland, MA, registered as Dille98,2 {107, 187}. She died 10 Feb 1783, aged 34y at Paxton, MA (under the name Newton)178,250,2 {p187}. She was buried at Paxton, in Paxton Cemetery250. She was also known as Deliverance, registered as Deliverance on the birth records of her first five children. It is not entirely clear that Deliverance and Delia were the same person. Although the death record of Silas's next wife Matilda explicitly calls her his second wife, there is a four-year gap between the last child registered to "Deliverance" and the first to "Delia". Still, there is no record at Paxton of the death of a Deliverance Newton in that gap. One possible explanation would be that there were actually two Silases (and, indeed, Hezekiah Newton of Southborough, Leicester, Rutland, and Paxton had a son Silas of very nearly the same age), but there is no death record at Paxton for an extra Silas.

She married Silas NEWTON, Silas of Paxton2 {107, 187}. He was born 10 Dec 1744 at Southborough, MA55, died 25 Jan 1816 at Paxton, MA178, son of Hezekiah NEWTON and Eunice BRIGHAM. Although this Silas Newton was born in Southborough, his family moved soon after his birth to Leicester and then to the part of Rutland that was set off as part of the new town of Paxton in 1765. He remained there and was thus evidently the Silas of Paxton who married Delia How.175 {p552} He made a will at Paxton, mentioning sons Silas, Horace, and Winsor, grandson Larkin Buckley Newton, granddaughters Emily Grosvenor Newton and Deborah Hall Newton (daughters of deceased son Larkin), heirs of deceased eldest daughter Persis Davis, and daughters Lucretia Bullard, Phebe Earle, Delia Harrington, and Patty Grosvenor175 {p552}. His will was proved 5 Mar 1816 in Worcester County, MA175 {p552},20 {docket 43416}.
vii
Winsor HOW [QQ119476], born 27 Mar 1751 at Rutland, MA98,2 {p107}.
viii
Sarah HOW [QQ119477], born 25 May 1753 at Rutland98,2 {p107}. She died 20 Aug 1760 at Rutland98,2 {p107}.
ix
John HOW [QQ119478], born 19 Mar 1756 at Rutland98,2 {p107}. He died 27 Jun 1829, aged 73y at Paxton, MA (under the name Howe)178,250. He was buried at Paxton, in Paxton Cemetery250.

He married Lucy HUBBARD 13 Jun 1782 at Holden, MA, listed as John of Paxton153. She was born 28 Jan 1766 at Holden (under the name Hubburd)153, died 3 Oct 1830, aged 64y 10m at Paxton, MA (under the name Howe)178,250, was buried at Paxton, in Paxton Cemetery250, daughter of Captain Samuel HUBBARD and Lucy DAVIS.
x
Francis HOW [QQ119479], born 9 Sep 1758 at Rutland, MA2 {p107},98 {p55}. He died 8 Sep 1760 at Rutland2 {p107},98 {p232}.
xi
Jonathan HOW [QQ119480], born 30 Sep 1761 at Rutland (Paxton), MA178. He died 27 Feb 1835, aged 73y at Paxton, MA, unmarried178,250,2 {p107}. He was buried at Paxton, in Paxton Cemetery250.

Children of Lois CUTLER and Nathan GOODNOW:

i
Thomas GOODENOW [QQ275776], baptized 1 Oct 1732 at Rutland, MA (under the name Goodeno)98. The identification of this Thomas as the son of Nathan and Lois (Cutler) Goodenow rests partly on circumstantial evidence: three of his first five children were named Nathan or Lois. The 1732 baptism record in Rutland does appear to refer to this Thomas, but the location is somewhat surprising and needs explanation.

He married Abigail. She was thinly documented.
